The evidence is overwhelming that the story of Noah in the Bible is true. Dr. Farrell discusses Sir Leonard Wooley’s discovery that removed any doubt that there was a major deluge as described in the Old Testament. Ancient stories such as the Sumerian Epic of Gilgamesh and Atra-hasis, the Babylonian epic that predates the Old Testament, will be discussed. Zecharia Sitchin’s melting glacier theory will be discussed and extrapolated, arguing that the deluge event recorded by the Babylonians and Sumerians occurred in Mesopotamia about 14,500 years ago and was a result of the post glacial sea rise.  The recent discover of the world’s oldest monolithic ruins, Gobekli Tepe, in southern turkey, ties this theory to the story of Noah and his ancestor, Abraham.

Over 25 yrs ago, Dr. Farrell began doing serious research for his science fiction series of novels.  The work of the late Zecharia Sitchin stimulated his interest in ancient history.  This led him to research the genesis of Noah’s Flood and to expand on Sitchin’s work by developing a lecture and book titled, The Science Behind Noah’s Flood
