The Essenes were the most enlightened community in the history of our planet. Their teachings and community produced the prophet Elijah, John the Baptist, and even Mother Mary and her parents. They spent hundreds of years preparing to receive the birth of Jesus through one of their disciples–Mother Mary. And their primary leaders were even the teachers of Jesus himself.
